Thank you SINFO for inviting me to beatutiful Portugal to give a talk to the young university students! I visited lovely Porto, Aveiro, Coimbra, Sintra, Cascais, and Lisbon, and made two runs so far:

• Title: Keep Calm, and Carry On — Navigating a Career in AI

• Abstract: It’s hard not to feel anxious these days if your heart is in anything about AI. Every day we are inundated with new progress, new excitement, and torrent of information. We are witnessing a seismic shift, more drastic and more fundamental than arguably anything we’ve ever seen in our lifetime. How do we stay informed but sane? How can we avoid being paralyzed and stay productive? Most importantly, what can be our north star in this New Age without losing our sense of purpose?
