I’ve done it: my first-ever Marathon! Temperature was 22F/-5.6C in the lovely Pacific Northwest, time was 4:34:01 (excluding time for picture taking), and pace was 10’26”.

This was my 4th attempt to extend my range beyond half Marathon (13.1 miles), starting from 16 miles, then 20, 23, and finally today’s 26.24 (see comments for the route).

WARNING: loud music in video!

Q: How was the video made? A: First, no headset of any kind was involved. ;-) The video was shot using Insta360 Go 3, using my hand as the human gimbal (10s seconds a time only). Then data recorded from my Apple Watch Ultra was sync’ed and integrated into video using Insta360 app on my iPad Pro for final editing using iMovies.

Also: no. The quality of the original produced video is much better than what you see here.
