Zheng Zhang’s keynote on graph neural networks for NLP — DGL, text-graph mapping, coref, discourse, KBQA. The future is neural+symbolic.

Professor Zheng Zhang (New York University, Amazon Web Services (AWS)) gave a very insightful keynote talk at DLG4NLP Workshop @ NAACL2022 on caling out GNN Applications for NLP:
- Development of Deep Graph Library (DGL).
- Mapping between text and graphs.
- Two discourse tasks: coreference resolution and discourse relations.
- KBQA.
I’m also in strong agreement with Professor Zhang that the future belongs to the joined forces of neural and symbolic methods.
